math research problems

from fun to challenging

Interesting, challenging or just beautiful mathematical problems from different fields of mathematics, awaiting solutions. We challenge you to submit a proof or a new math research problem. Both will show under your name.

if you really want to get inspired for your mathematical research, don’t expect some dull list of open problems everyone knows about

Instead look at what has already been done by other mathematical minds and try to move one step forward. Try to generalize a concept, try to connect properties from different areas of mathematics, or try to extend the boundaries of an existing property.

In this site we present exciting mathematical knowledge and challenge you to build upon this. At first glance it may seem difficult or even impossible, but if you contemplate long enough there is a path to explore!

In research, imagination is more important than intelligence

You can comment at the end of each article. Your own ideas are very welcome and if they seem important to us, we may publish them under your name.

hidden patterns, relations and symmetries of mathematical structures

This is really what it is all about worth in mathematics. It is what we intuitively call mathematical beauty. Those who are working hard to reveal these hidden symmetries and relations, know exactly the joy that accompanies every discovery of a previously hidden and unknown pattern.

Our intention is not to get lost into too complicated mathematical structures, but to dig deep into the common and simple ones. If possible deeper than anyone else!

At the end of each article we present ideas of what YOU can do!
